Two other versions can be found in the Munch Museum (Oslo) and the third belongs to a private collection.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The most famous version<\/strong> was painted in 1893.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Two of the versions of the painting have suffered thefts<\/strong> (and subsequent recovery by the police) in recent years.<\/li>\n<li>In 2012 <strong>it was auctioned<\/strong> for $119.9 million, the highest price obtained to date for the sale of a painting at auction.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The scream represents<\/strong>, in the foreground, an androgynous figure with a strong feeling of anguish.
