It represents the victims of war.<\/li><li><strong>Person looking up to the sky with arms raised:<\/strong> shouting and pleading for the war to end.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Although it may <strong>not always appear so<\/strong> in the photographs <strong>,<\/strong> it is a large painting (116.6 X 349.3 cm).<\/li><li><strong>Guernica was<\/strong> commissioned by Josep Renau, Director General of Fine Arts, to be exhibited in the Spanish Pavilion during the International Exposition held in Paris in 1937.<\/li><li><strong>It<\/strong> is currently <strong>exhibited<\/strong> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arteescuela.com\/las-6-obras-imprescindibles-del-museo-reina-sofia\/\"><br \/><strong>Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda (Madrid).<\/strong><br \/><\/a>.
